The saving and credit cooperative (Zigama-CSS) has announced it will introduce two new types of loans to facilitate its customers access its finances easily.
Capt. Augustin Kayigire, the head of loans in Zigama-CSS disclosed the new packages as ‘Family’ and ‘Ganza’ during a meeting held at the Rwanda National Police early this week.
The two loans are meant to support Small Medium Enterprises and are accessed specifically by spouses of the cooperative members in Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Defence Forces and Rwanda Correctional Services.
The family package, he explained, does not require security as applicants are only required to present a well searched small income generating business proposal and the maximum loan is Rwf2 million.
Contrary to the Family loan, Ganza which provides above Rwf2 million in loan, requires security.
“Family loan will be serviced in 24 months while Ganza is paid in five years,” Capt. Kayigire explained.
Ganza can, however, be accessed by any of the spouses unlike family loan which is given only to the wife or husband of the member serving in the three security institutions.
While explaining to police officers on the services offered by Zigama-CSS, he urged them to seize these opportunities to develop their families.
“The family loan pilot phase of sixty applicants was successful. Zigama-CSS is yours; exploit the availed services” he noted.
He also urged them to exploit other services like short, medium and long term given to those going for a peacekeeping mission, to boost their well-being.
