GERAYO AMAHORO: Rwanda National Police launches 'Turindane' road safety campaign launched in Musanze with emphasis on behavioral change
Rwanda National Police (RNP), in collaboration with local authorities and road safety stakeholders, on Thursday, November 27, extended the 'Turindane Tugereyo Amahoro' road safety campaign in Musanze District, calling on all road users to embrace shared responsibility in preventing road accidents.
Over 1,000 road users including drivers, moto-taxi operators, cyclists, passengers and pedestrians converged at Musanze bus station where road safety messages were delivered to influence safer practices on the roads. Read More...
Rwanda National Police strengthens maritime operations capacity through advanced training
Sixteen marine officers from the Rwanda National Police (RNP) and the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) completed a two-week Vessel Boarding, Search and Seizure (VBSS) course conducted in Lake Kivu in Rubavu District.
The training, which concluded on Friday, November 28, aimed at strengthening joint maritime security operations and enhancing the officers’ preparedness to safeguard Rwanda’s water bodies.

Over 170 Police Station Commanders’ Course students undertake study tour of Key historical sites
Some 177 Police officers attending a three-month Station Commanders’ course at the Counter-Terrorism Training Centre (CTTC) Mayange in Bugesera District, conducted a study tour of key Rwandan historical sites.
On Thursday, November 27, the officers, who include 10 allied students from Liberia National Police, visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial and the Museum for Campaign Against Genocide at the Parliamentary Building, as part of the three-month training programme. Read More...
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION: Police join Gasogi community in tree planting to fight soil erosion
Rwanda National Police (RNP), on Saturday, October 25, joined residents of Gasogi in Gasabo District for the monthly Umuganda that saw more than 10,000 trees planted to restore and protect the environment on Ubwiza bwa Gasogi hill.
Led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Teddy Ruyenzi, the Commissioner for Community Policing, hundreds of police officers worked alongside local authorities, community members, and youth volunteers in a collective effort to prevent soil erosion and advance environmental conservation.
