As the Rwanda National Police (RNP) celebrates 25 years since its founding in 2000, one of the most significant areas of development has been in training. From a humble start with just one training school offering basic policing skills, the force has expanded into a highly professional organization equipped with modern facilities, specialized training programs, and international partnerships—all focused on preparing officers for today’s complex security issues.

Rwanda National Police launches volleyball academy to nurture future champions
Rwanda National Police (RNP) launched a Police Volleyball Academy on Thursday, June 26, at Lycée de Kigali (LDK), marking a significant step toward developing the next generation of volleyball talent in the country.
As part of the launch, Police Volleyball Club donated assorted essential training equipment to support both boys and girls academy teams.
Coaching responsibilities will be handled by Yves Iradukunda for the boys’ team and Jean de Dieu Masumbuko for the girls’ team. Both are assistant coaches with the Police VC senior teams and are expected to bring professional experience and technical depth to the academy. Read More...
