Defending champions, Rwanda National Police Volleyball Club had a perfect start at the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Zone V Club Championship 2025, underway at Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala, Uganda winning all their three opening games.
Police qualified for the quarterfinals after topping Group A with wins over Uganda's Nemostars 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-19), Jeshi Stars VC from Tanzania 3-1 (25-14, 25-27, 25-15, 25-18) and 3-0 victory over Burundi's Rukinzo VC (25-22, 25-14, 25-19).
This year's CAVB Zone V tournament hosted over 20 teams from 12 countries, both in male and female categories.
Rwanda is represented by 4 teams including 3 in men’s category; Police VC, APR VC and Rwanda Energy Group (REG) while APR WVC will compete in women’s category.
Police VC are the defending champions in the men’s category, following their triumph over Uganda's Sport-S in Kigali in 2023.
