Police Handball Club kicked-off the East and Central Africa Handball Federation (ECAHF) senior club championship campaign, on Monday, December 4, with a win over Equity HC of Kenya.
It was a hard-fought 29-28 win for the Rwandan side seeking to win the regional tournament for the third time.
The first period ended 15-14 in favour of the law enforcers but five-point lead after the break was cut by Equity HC to bring the game back to square.
It was a fight-to-the-end for Police HC to register the win with just a point lead, thanks to saves from goalkeepers; Jackson Uwimana and Samuel Bananimana.
On Tuesday, Police will take on Evergreen in the opening match of Day Three, face Uganda Prison on Wednesday and against GSU of Kenya on Friday, December 8.
