Dispute a traffic fine

If you believe you have been mistakenly and unfairly issued with a traffic fine or that there is a valid reason why your penalty should be withdrawn, you can request a review.

You must dispute a fine within two (2) days of the date of the infringement notice, or you will face late fees.

To apply for a review, you must (apply online) download the Traffic Fines Review form and follow the steps in the form and email the form to patrs@police.gov.rw

Phone explanations are not permitted. A Police will consider your application and will reply to your correspondence within two (2) days.  If you do not get any correspondence with two (2) days, please call 0788311114.
