Police FC skipper, Jacques Tuyisenge scored twice as the law enforcers defeated Sunrise 2-0 at Kicukiro stadium on Tuesday.

It was their eighth win in 18 matches played so far in the national football league. The win ensured that Police tied on 39 points with second placed AS Kigali but the latter leads with a one goal difference, 12 as compared to Police’s 11, and seven adrift of league leaders, APR FC.

“The players were fantastic against Sunrise FC. They created several chances and also defended resiliently, which has now propelled our title hopes and the spirit remains the same - to push up to the end,” Police FC head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo, said after the triumph.
