Three Rwandan law enforcement officers from Rwanda National Police (RNP) and Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) have graduated with Master’s degrees from the Korean National Police University in Asan City, Republic of Korea, emerging as the best-performing students in their respective academic programmes.
The officers graduated on Friday, August 21, at a ceremony presided over by the university’s President, Superintendent General KIM Ki-jong, and attended by the Inspector General of Rwanda National Police, CG Felix Namuhoranye, and Rwanda’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Nkubito Manzi Bakuramutsa.
Inspector of Police (IP) Thomas Akimana and IP Yvette Tumukunde Mutabazi earned Master’s in Criminal Investigation and Criminology, respectively while Evariste Nkubito from RIB graduated with a Master’s in Public Safety. Two other RNP officers are currently pursuing PhD programmes at the Korean National Police University.
IGP Namuhoranye, together with Amb. Bakuramutsa also held discussions with Superintendent General KIM, focusing on strengthening cooperation in professional training and academic programmes.
