Police in Kayonza District is holding a teacher of Groupe Scolaire Kabare in Ngoma district for allegedly forging academic terminal report cards and selling them to students.

They also forged the signature of the same school.
According to the Eastern region Police spokesperson, Inspector of Police (IP) Emmanuel Kayigi explained that Mahirwa’s illegal actions came to light after some of the students were identified as they attempt to do interviews using the forged academic papers.
“The students were questioned and they said they bought them from Mahirwa. So, investigators guised as students seeking the same service and that how he was arrested,” said IP Kayigi.
It is alleged that the suspect was charging Rwf3, 000 for each academic report.

Investigations are still underway to arrest all those connected to this act,” Kayigi added.
