Forty-seven officers from Rwanda National Police (RNP), National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS), Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) and Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS) completed the Tactical Command Course at the National Police College (NPC) in Musanze District.
The pass-out of the 13th intake was held at the College on December 23, and presided over by the NPC Commandant, Commissioner of Police CP Rafiki Mujiji.
The five-month course is designed to shape participants to become good tactical commanders and leaders.
It covers routine staff work, operational staff work, internal security operations, computer skills, practical and field exercises, lectures of opportunity and related external study tours to match theories to practicals.
The Commandant, who represented the RNP leadership, reminded the graduates of the main objective of the course.
He thanked them for the discipline and successful completion of the course.
"You have been equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively perform command responsibilities at tactical level. So, live up to the expectations...make use of the gained knowledge and skills in your daily work," CP Mujiji said.
