Stolen motorcycle recovered in Gisagara

On Sunday, January 1, Police in Gisagara District recovered a motorcycle, which was stolen recently in Huye District.

The motorcycle TVS, registration number RD 265E, was recovered in Ryamakuri Village, Rwanza Cell in Save Sector.

The prime suspects are still on the run, according to Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Emmanuel Habiyaremye, the Police spokesperson for the Southern region.

"The motorcycle was reported stolen on December 26, last year after thieves broke into the house at night, where it was kept, in Tumba Sector of Huye District.

Police has since been working with local leaders and the public to recover it and to arrest the suspected thieves, until January 1, when a resident of Ryamakuri Village in Gisagara District called the Police after spotting the same motorcycle," CIP Habiyaremye said.

At the time, the prime suspect, who is still on the run, was learning how to ride a motorcycle before fleeing after he saw the Police.

The motorcycle was handed over to RIB at Ngoma station as the search for the suspected thieves is still underway.
