Seven officers from Rwanda National Police (RNP) completed eight-week professional courses at the Egyptian Police Academy, on Wednesday, October 15.
The officers participated in four different courses. Inspector of Police (IP) Emmanuel Gahigana emerged the best performer (international participant) in Community Policing and Human Rights Protection course, and was honored by the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the graduation of Police cadets, on October 8.
The Community Policing and Human Rights Protection course was also attended by Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP) Jean de Dieu Tuyisenge.

The Security Crisis Management course was attended by IP Jonathan Uwindamutsa, while Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Eric Shyaka and AIP Enock Rukundo attended the Counter International Terrorism course.
The Developing Leadership Skills programme featured CIP Enock Nkorerimana and CIP Byiringiro Mutijima.
The courses, designed to enhance the officers’ professional skills and leadership capacity while strengthening bilateral ties and professional collaboration between the two countries’ police institutions.
