Police in Rulindo district on December 6, publicly destroyed an assortment of contrabands seized in different operations in a bid to get rid of the illegal and harmful drinks that are sold to unwitting members of the public within the District.
Speaking during the event, the District police commander (DPC) Superintendent of Police (SP) Jean Bosco Rudasingwa said that Police seized the substance in recent operations and also arrested those that were selling them.
He added on that the suspects will soon be produced before the prosecution after investigations are complete.
The exercise was conducted in Base sector, Rwamahwa cell where different security and local administration officials warned residents against covering-up for such illegal dealings.
