A 2-0 win over newcomers Heroes FC on Friday took Police Football Club to the top of Rwanda Premier League table with 11 points.
Police captain Aimable Nsabimana broke the deadlock two minutes before the first period break after he tapped-in Nshuti Savio's corner.
The law enforcers made very few attempts in the first half, with the visitors creating a number of unanswered opportunities.
The introduction of Justin Mico deep in the second-half at the expense of Isae Isonga brought the rhythm into the match with many squandered opportunities though.
First, striker Dominique Ndayishimiye failed to beat an empty net in the 65th minute. Then defender Fils hit the cross-bar twice and Ndayishimiye's free header went wide.
Ndayishimiye, however, answered the call in the dying minutes of the match when he headed in Justin Mico's free-kick to claim a resounding win on Day Five of Rwanda Premier League and to maintain their unbeaten record since the start of the season with three wins and two draws.
The win took them to the top of the log, one point ahead of APR and Rayon Sport, who are tied at 10 points, but both with a game to spare.
