Rwanda Premier League: Police beats Etincelles

Osee Iyabivuze's goal in the first half guided Police Football Club to 1-0 win over Etincelles on Day Nine of Rwanda Premier League on Sunday.

The goal scored in the first-half ensured that the law enforcers maintained its unbeaten run with six wins and three draws.

Iyabivuze buried the cross into the net in the 35th minute to give Police FC to a deserved away win.

The win took Police to equal 21 points with APR, with the latter leading the 16-team table with a difference of one goal.

Meanwhile, Police goalkeeper Gahungu Habarurema, who was rushed to Rubavu hospital after he was kicked in the chest, has been transferred to Kigali.

Police FC Secretary General and the club spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Karangwa, said: "A medical report indicates that Gahungu's situation is not as bad as we had thought. There were no injuries so he was transferred to Kigali where he will be followed."
