On Thursday, January 29, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in Charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, received members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on International Relations, Defence, and Security of the Namibia National Assembly, at the Rwanda National Police General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
The delegation was given a presentation highlighting the RNP's role in crime prevention, the proactive policing strategies adopted to enhance security, and the integration of modern technology to improve operational efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
DCG Ujeneza, emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts in maintaining public safety.

“Crime prevention is a national priority that requires collaboration across institutions. At the Rwanda National Police, proactive policing, intelligence-led operations, and strong community engagement are central to keeping our communities safe.”
The DIGP also highlighted how modern technologies are being leveraged to support investigations, facilitate data and science-driven decision-making, and strengthen crime prevention and detection efforts.
Hon. James Unomasa, the Chairperson of the delegation, said the visit provided an opportunity to learn from Rwanda’s policing strategies in crime prevention, cyber security, immigration management, and intelligence operations, to help strengthen law enforcement back in Namibia.
The RNP and the Namibian Police Force signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2015 to formalize collaboration in policing and law enforcement, focusing on joint operations, information sharing, capacity building, and training programmes.
