Rwanda has continuously featured among the African countries that intercept many stolen vehicles, and will continue to make sure that no one uses it either as a destination or transit route for stolen vehicles and other items, the Commissioner for Interpol at Rwanda National Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Peter Karake, has said. The Governor of the Southern Province, Rose Mureshyankwano has called upon grassroots leaders in the region to work hand-in-hand with communities in order to sustain the prevailing peace and security. Police uncover four sacks of cannabis hidden in a petroleum trailer
Acting on a tip off from residents, Police in Gasabo district unearthed four sacks of cannabis that were hidden in a DR Congo-registered petroleum trailer. According to the Central Region Police Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police (SP) Emmanuel Hitayezu, residents of Nyacyonga village in Akamatamu of Jabana sector saw unusual sacked loaded behind the driver’s seat in a trailer that is meant to only transport petroleum products and reported to police.
