Huye: Three men arrested over theft of motorcycle

Police in Huye District arrested three men in connection with theft of a motorcycle, which was stolen in the City of Kigali last month.

Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Emmanuel Kayigi, the Southern region Police Spokesperson, who confirmed the arrest, identified the suspects as; Anicet Ntawukuriryayo, Joseph Iyakaremye, and Ildephonse Nyandwi. Read more

National Forensic Laboratory inaugurated

The Justice Minister and Attorney General, Johnston Busingye, presided over the inauguration of the hi-tech National Forensic Laboratory (NFL) located at Kacyiru hospital in Gasabo District.

The inauguration also coincided with the official handover the NFL from Rwanda National Police (RNP). Read more

Police, partners launch anti-corruption week

Rwanda National Police (RNP) and its partners mainly from the justice sector,  launched a week-long campaign to further raise awareness against graft, one of the high impact crimes said to be posing threat to service delivery, good governance and development.

The launch held at the RNP General Headquarters in Kacyiru brought together other entities charged with fighting corruption including the Office of Ombudsman, prosecution, Rwanda Investigations Bureau (RIB), Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) and Transparency International (TI-Rwanda), among others.
