Two drug dealers arrested with 200, 000 rolls of cannabis

Police in Rusizi District have arrested two men, who were found trafficking over 200, 000 rolls of cannabis.

The pellets were had been concealed in gas cylinder, Police spokesperson for the Western region, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Innocent Gasasira, said. Read more

Kayonza: SACCO manager arrested over missing Rwf50 million

The manager of a savings and credit cooperative in Kayonza District has been taken into custody for allegedly embezzling over Rwf55.4 million from the Sacco coffers.

Jean Bosco Semuhungu, the manager of Murundi SACCO, was arrested on Friday following an audit conducted by the National Bank of Rwanda and Rwanda Cooperative Agency. Read more

POLICE WEEK 2018: Governor Mufuluke rallies Nyagatare residents to fight narcotic drugs

The Eastern Province, on Thursday, conducted a campaign against narcotic drugs as part of the ongoing Police Week that mainly focuses on raising awareness against the vice.

PICTORIAL: RNP Police Week 2018 Launch

RNP launches Police Week activities to promote ‘crime-free village’

Rwanda National Police (RNP), yesterday, commenced its annual ‘Police Week’ activities in events held countrywide, with focus on promoting ‘crime-free village’ to cement the philosophy of community policing.

The official launch held concurrently in all provinces and the City of Kigali was presided over by cabinet ministers flanked by RNP leadership, and was marked with the unveiling of construction works of at least 30 village offices. Read more
