The Rwanda National Police (RNP) Fire and Rescue Brigade (FRB) has trained 75 staff of Bralirwa brewery on fire safety.
The two-day training, which ended on Thursday, September 23, at the brewery plant in Gisenyi, Rubavu District, is part of the RNP outreach to equip different institutions with basic skills against fire emergencies.
"The training equipped the 75 selected employees of Bralirwa at Gisenyi plant with basic skills on how to prevent fire emergencies and extinguishing fires before it escalates," Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Paul Gatambira, the Commanding Officer for FRB, said.
"The Fire and Rescue Brigade also conducted inspection of the Bralirwa facilities and the management was advised to fix the identified electrical faults. This outreach involves both training, inspection of public facilities and advising owners and management to fix any identified faults which can be the source of fire outbreak," he added.
