IGP Namuhoranye attends Botswana Police awards ceremony
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Felix Namuhoranye is in Botswana where he attended the medal awarding ceremony for members of Botswana Police Service (BPS) on Friday, August 4, in the capital Gaborone.
The awards ceremony was officiated by the President of Botswana, Dr. Eric Mokgweetsi Masisi.
This Saturday, August 5, IGP Namuhoranye also attended the Botswana "Police Day" to celebrate its 139 anniversary.Read more

Gerayo Amahoro campaign shifts to cyclists
Cyclists are among the major causes or victims of road carnage. Last year, out of over 650 road fatalities registered across the country, 183 were either caused or involved cyclists. Other 150 fatalities involved taxi-moto operators.
In an effort to address reckless riding behaviors, Rwanda National Police (RNP), on Thursday, August 3, shifted Gerayo Amahoro road safety campaign to commercial cyclists to influence behavioral change and instill a culture of safer road usage in compliance with traffic rules and regulations.Read more
NYARUGENGE: Two arrested over circulation of counterfeit money
Two people were arrested in Nyarugenge District in connection with possession and circulation of counterfeit money.
The duo, a man and woman, was apprehended on Wednesday, August 2, in Inyarurembo village, Kiyovu cell of Nyarugenge sector, with counterfeit dollars amounting to US$2800, approximately Frw3,296,000.Read more
