Over 300 youth volunteers complete training at Police Training School
At least 306 members of Rwanda Youth Volunteers in Community Policing (RYVCP) from the Southern Province, on Friday, July 29, concluded a five-day training at the Police Training School (PTS) Gishari in Rwamagana District.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza presided over the official closing of the training, which focused on the role of youth volunteers in contributing to the human security and development. Read more...
Dealers in used electrical equipment urged to comply with regulations
Traders in used electrical and electronic equipment were called upon to comply with the regulations, which came into force on July 11.
The regulations establish a framework for trade of used electrical and electronic equipment, including licensing.

MUHANGA: Police impound vehicle smuggling about 1000kgs of used clothes
The Rwanda National Police (RNP) Revenue Protection Unit (RPU) on Wednesday, July 27, impounded a vehicle in Muhanga District, Kanyinya cell in Mataba village loaded with 42 sacks of second-hand clothes commonly known as caguwa, weighing 988kgs.

Rwanda National Police (RNP) in partnership with other security organs in Karongi District, arrested five people on Saturday, July 23, with 13 bales of second-hand clothes smuggled into Rwanda from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

Three suspected illegal miners arrested in Rulindo
Three people were arrested in operations against illegal mining activities, which were conducted separately in Kabuga Village, Nyamyumba Cell, Masoro Sector in Rulindo District.

Another stolen motorcycle recovered
Rwanda National Police (RNP) recovered a motorcycle in Nyabigugu Village, Murinja Cell, Gahanga Sector of Kicukiro District hours after it was reported stolen in the same district.
The motorcycle TVS registration number RE 562L, was recovered from the suspected thief identified as Issa Ndatimana, 21, who was arrested Monday, July 25. His arrest came three days after three other thieves were arrested in Gicumbi and Nyagatare districts with two stolen motorcycles. Read more...
