IGP Munyuza attends international security exhibition in Qatar

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza is in Doha, Qatar since Tuesday, May 24, to attend the 14th International Exhibition for Homeland Security and Civil Defence.

Dubbed the MILIPOL Qatar Exhibition 2022, under the patronage of Hlis Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar; it is a specialized International security exhibition dedicated to displaying the latest security and safety equipment and technologies.

During his three-day visit, the Inspector General of Police explored areas of cooperation between Rwanda National Police and Qatar Police.

On Wednesday, May 25, he paid a courtesy call to the Director of Public Security of Qatar, Maj. Gen. Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi and discussed areas of cooperation between the two law enforcement institutions.  Read more...

DIGP Ujeneza briefs Police officers set to take part in EAC Field Training Exercise


The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, on Thursday, May 26, met and briefed Police officers, who will participate in the 'East African Community (EAC) Armed Forces Field Training Exercise (FTX) Ushirikiano Imara 2022.'

The exercise is in line with the EAC Protocol on Cooperation in Defence Affairs under the theme, ?Promoting Peace, Security and Stability towards the East African Community Integration.?  Read more...

Police marine officers complete advanced underwater search training


Eleven officers from the Rwanda National Police (RNP) marine unit, on Friday May 27, completed a two-week advanced training of underwater search techniques conducted in Lake Kivu.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Vianney Nshimiyimana, Commissioner for Cooperation in RNP presided over the pass-out in Rubavu District.

Any form of violence or abuse against children is a fundamental violation of their rights. Children are most often abused by those close to them such as neighbors, friends, teachers, parents and other relatives.
