Over 100 Police officers complete courses at Police Training School
At least 108 Police officers, on Friday, March 11, completed two separate courses at the Police Training School (PTS) Gishari in Rwamagana District.
The two courses, which were conducted in 13 weeks, include 6th Instructional Technology Course (ITC) intake of 45 junior officers and 4th Instructor Course (IC) intake for 63 Police Constables. Read more...
FIRE SAFETY: Over 500 trained in Northern Province
The Rwanda National Police (RNP) Fire and Rescue Brigade (FRB), on Thursday, March 10, extended fire safety awareness to over 500 people in Musanze and Gakenke districts, respectively.
Those trained include traders at Musanze modern market and their customers, staff at Gatonde hospital in Gakenke district, including medical workers, management, casual workers and security guards. Read more...
RUBAVU: Driver arrested for attempted bribery
A driver identified as Jean Marie Vianney Habumugisha, 36, was arrested Saturday, March 5, along Rubavu-Nyabihu road in Gisa, Rugerero Sector, Rubavu District for attempting to bribe a traffic Police officer with Frw2,000.
The traffic officer had caught Habumugisha driving a Daihatsu vehicle, registration number RAB 136D, which had an expired automobile inspection certificate. Read more...
BUGESERA: Man arrested for vandalizing electricity pylons
A man identified as Theoneste Ngendambazi, 32, was arrested in Bugesera District for allegedly vandalising and stealing electricity pylons.
Ngendambazi was arrested Sunday, March 6, at about 2pm in Majanja Village, Kabukuba Cell, Juru Sector with assorted electricity equipment, including a prop and a fombox used to support pylons. Read more...
Two suspected drug dealers arrested with over 12kgs of cannabis
Rwanda National Police (RNP) continued to make treads in breaking drug supply chains and arresting dealers in different parts of the country.
