KIGALI: Central African Republic Chief of Gendarmerie visits Rwanda

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza, on Wednesday, November 3, received the Director General for Gendarmerie Nationale of Central African Republic (CAR),Landry Urlich Depot.

Director General Landry and his delegation are in Rwanda since Tuesday for a six-day visit to cement policing cooperation between Rwanda National Police (RNP) and the Gendarmerie Nationale of CAR.  Read more...

PEACEKEEPING: DIGP Namuhoranye briefs Police contingent ahead of South Sudan rotation


The Deputy Inspector General of Police DIGP) in charge of Operations, Felix Namuhoranye, on Saturday, November 6, briefed 160 police officers set to be deployed for peacekeeping duties under the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

KIGALI: 12 arrested over soliciting bribes, fraud

Rwanda National Police (RNP) arrested twelve men belonging to the same ring, who were fraudulently soliciting money from people, who registered for driving tests, promising to get them driver's license.

They include seven Police officers, who were conniving with five driving school instructors to defraud candidates, who registered to do driving tests.  Read more...

COVID-19: RNP cautions bar owners against flouting directives


Rwanda National Police (RNP) warned owners and management of bars that operate contrary to the government directives on Covid-19 prevention.

RNP trains RIB investigators on fire safety and investigation


The Rwanda National Police (RNP) Fire and Rescue Brigade (FRB) trained 30 staff of Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) on fire safety and related investigation.

The one-day training which was conducted on Sunday, October 31, at RIB Headquarters in Kimihurura, Gasabo District. It is part of the RNP initiative to equip different institutions in Rwanda with basic skills against fire emergencies.  Read more...
