Police calls for precautionary measures against burglary
Rwanda National Police (RNP) often parades to the media some of the suspects arrested in separate operations against burglaries in City of Kigali and other parts of the country.
Breaking doors and windows of homes, offices and business facilities is a common denominator among the majority of the reported burglaries.
As part of the efforts to strengthen the fight against house break-in, RNP is engaging the general public on safety precautionary measures to detect and deter such criminal acts. Read more...
CAR Prime Minister recognizes Rwandan Police peacekeepers
The Prime Minister of Central African Republic (CAR), Filimin Ngrebada, on Friday, May 7, awarded certificates to his Rwandan 'Special Escort Team' in recognition of their service.
The recognized Police officers constitute Rwanda Protection Support Unit (PSU), which is largely charged with the protection of top government officials in CAR, including the Prime Minister and other VIPs.

GASABO: Police parade liquor and electronics thieves
Eleven thieves, including eight suspected to be behind the recent burglary at Bollor? Transport and Logistics warehouse in Kigali Special Economic Zone in Masoro of Gasabo District, were been arrested.
At least 1031 assorted bottles of liquor, which were stolen from the stores, were also recovered from the house of one William Iradukunda (also arrested) located in Kimisagara Sector, Nyarugenge District. Read more...

KIGALI: More arrested in operations against house break-in
Rwanda National Police (RNP) arrested three people belonging to the same ring of thieves behind the burglary at Auberge motel located in Nyarugunga Sector, Kicukiro District.
Three flat TV sets were stolen from the motel in the night of May 4. All the three TV sets were also recovered from the trio identified as Jean Paul Habineza, a security guard at Auberge motel, Theoneste Barigora, 29, and Jean Pierre Rulinda,26. Read more...

Fifty-two people were on Friday, May 07, arrested in Nyabirasi Sector of Rutsiro District for holding a prayer gathering contrary to the government directives on preventing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
