IGP Namuhoranye receives Inspector General of The Gambia Police Force

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, received on Monday, December 2, his counterpart of The Gambia Police Force, Gen. Seedy Muctar Touray, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru.

Gen. Touray and his delegation are in Rwanda week-long visit aimed at strengthening the partnership between the Police institutions.

IGP Namuhoranye, during the bilateral meeting, stated that the friendship and collaboration between the Rwanda National Police and The Gambia Police Force is a significant step forward and that the visit presents another opportunity for both sides to strengthen relations and expand their partnership. Read more...

Rwanda, Gambia Police institutions sign cooperation agreement


Rwanda National Police (RNP) and The Gambia Police Force (GPF) signed a memorandum of Understanding to establish and maintain cooperation in combating trans-national organized crimes and terrorism.

The agreement was signed on Thursday, December 5, in Kigali between the Inspector General of Police (IGP) CG Felix Namuhoranye and his visiting counterpart of The Gambia, Gen. Seedy Muctar Touray.

The cooperation pact guides the two institutions to work together in activities related to fighting transnational crimes and terrorism, exchange of information, training and expertise, among others.  Read more...

RUBAVU: Two Arrested with eight bales of smuggled second-hand clothes

The Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (ASOC) department arrested two women in Rubavu District after they were found in possession of eight bales of smuggled second-hand clothes commonly known as caguwa.

The suspects, a 57-year-old mother and her 27-year-old daughter, were apprehended at their residence in Runyeheri Village, Nyarushyamba Cell, Nyakiriba Sector, on the morning of Tuesday, December 3.  Read more...
