National Police College graduates 38 senior law enforcement officers after completion of Senior Command and Staff Course
Thirty-eight senior law enforcement officers from ten African countries graduated on Friday, June 19, from the Police Senior Command and Staff Course (PSCSC) at the National Police College (NPC) in Musanze District, marking another milestone in strengthening leadership capacity and advancing regional security cooperation across Africa.
The Minister of Education, Joseph Nsengimana, presided over the graduation ceremony, which was attended by senior government and security officials, diplomats, representatives from partner academic institutions, and the graduates' families.
The 14th PSCSC intake comprised 23 senior officers from Rwanda and 15 allied students from the Central African Republic, Eswatini, Malawi, Namibia, Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, and The Gambia. Read More...
DIGP Ujeneza hosts dinner for PSCSC participants ahead of graduation
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, DCG Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, on Saturday, June 14, hosted a dinner for senior officers of the 14th intake of the Police Senior Command and Staff Course (PSCSC) at the National Police College (NPC) in Musanze District, as they prepare to complete the course.
The event brought together local government leaders, senior security officers, course participants, and their families to celebrate the successful completion of the one-year programme ahead of the officers' graduation.

EASF police officers complete Specialized Training on SGBV Investigations in Kigali
Twenty police officers from nine member states of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) completed a 10-day Training of Trainers (ToT) course on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) investigations, held at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
The course was officially closed on Friday, June 19, by Jean Marie Twagirayezu, Director General in Charge of Criminal Investigations (DGCI) at the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB).
The specialized course, aimed at strengthening regional capacity to prevent and respond to SGBV-related crimes, brought together participants from Rwanda, Sudan, Burundi, Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Djibouti, Somalia, and Uganda. Read More...
Nigerian security delegation visits Rwanda to study security, governance, and post-genocide recovery
The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Operations, CP Vincent Sano, on Tuesday, June 16, received a delegation from the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
The delegation, comprising 12 students and faculty members led by Halima Ibrahim Zanna, Director of Studies at NISS, is undertaking a seven-day study tour in Rwanda under the theme, “Ethnic Militias and Resource Competition in Africa, Implications for National Security.” Read More...
