Enhancing law enforcement: Over 1,200 officers complete Basic Police Special Forces training

Some 1,238 police officers, including 220 women, on Saturday, September 13, completed the third intake of the Basic Police Special Forces Course at the Counter-Terrorism Training Centre (CTTC) Mayange in Bugesera District.

IGP Namuhoranye officiates the pass-out of SWAT course

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, officiated the pass-out ceremony of 24 police officers, including eight women, who completed the fifth intake of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) course at the Counter-Terrorism Training Centre in Mayange, Bugesera District, on Tuesday, September 9.

IGP Namuhoranye challenges Police volleyball teams on honor ahead of KAVC championship in Kampala

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), CG Felix Namuhoranye, on Tuesday, September 10, briefed the Rwanda National Police (RNP) men and women volleyball teams, designated to participate in the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Championship (KAVC) in Uganda, and urged them to strive for excellence with honor.

He reminded them that they are not only representing the Rwanda National Police but the entire nation.

"As you compete, remember that you carry more than just a ball; you carry the pride, discipline, and values of our country," IGP Namuhoranye told the teams.  Read More... 

Police parade three suspects over recent violent robbery in Nyarugenge

Rwanda National Police (RNP), on Saturday, September 13, paraded to the media three individuals involved in violent assault on a woman in Rwampara, Nyarugenge District.

The incident occurred on September 11, when the suspects, aged 33, 38, and 40, allegedly attacked and injured the woman with machetes, as she headed home from work. They stole a handbag and a mobile phone from her.  Read More...
