Police calls for calm, to heed hygiene guidelines against coronavirus spread
Rwanda National Police (RNP) has called upon the general public to remain calm, avoid spreading rumors, which cause panic and to ensure maximum observance of national and international hygiene guidelines so as to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
While appearing on the morning talk-show—Waramutse Rwanda—on Rwanda Television on Monday, RNP spokesperson, Commissioner of Police (CP) John Bosco Kabera said that the security situation in the country remains stable. Read more
Police urges transporters to facilitate students going back home
Rwanda National Police (RNP) urged public transporters, head-teachers and parents to facilitate and ensure the safety of students, who are going back home to avoid any traffic violations, which may lead to accidents.
In the wake of Government measures and guidelines to prevent the spread and mitigation of coronavirus (COVID-2019), the Ministry of Education instructed the closure of all schools in the country and the order of students’ departure per region. Read more
CORONAVIRUS: Taxi-motor operators, public reminded on new precautionary measures
Rwanda National Police (RNP) reminded taxi-moto operators and the public to follow safety guidelines issued by the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) to prevent the spread of Cononavirus (COVID-19).
In the new safety regulations released Monday by Rwanda Utility Regulatory Authority (RURA), taxi-moto operators are required to remove protection screen on the passengers’ helmet to limit the possibility of spreading the virus.Read more
CORONAVIRUS: Beware of fraudsters
Rwanda National Police (RNP) called upon the public to be vigilant against individuals, who might seize the current situation to dupe the unwitting people claiming to be fumigating homes of coronavirus (COVID-19).

KIGALI: Warning on illegal sell of meat
The public have been called upon to adhere to legal and health standards for transporting and selling meat.
