IGP Namuhoranye attends EAPCCO General Meeting in Burundi
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Felix Namuhoranye, attended the 25th Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO), which convened Wednesday, October 25, in Bujumbura, Burundi.
The EAPCCO Council of Police Chiefs (CPC), was presided over by the Vice-President of Burundi, Prosper Bazombanza.
It was held under the theme: "Leveraging on the Regional Policing Capabilities in Promoting Law Enforcement Cooperation in the Fight Against Terrorism and Transnational Organized Crime.” Read more
Zimbabwe Police Chief pays courtesy call on IGP Namuhoranye
The Commissioner General for Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), Godwin Tandabantu Matanga, on Tuesday, October 24, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Felix Namuhoranye, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters in Kacyiru.
CG Tandabantu, who was accompanied by Zimbabwe’s Deputy Head of Mission to Rwanda, Martin Tavenyika, is in Rwanda for the 2nd Annual Africa Security Symposium Twenty Meeting, which gets underway on Wednesday, October 25, in Kigali.
The two Police Chiefs discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.Read more
Over 27,500 litres of illicit brew destroyed in Kigali
Police and local authorities in Gasabo District disposed of over 27,500 litres of assorted illicit brew, which were seized from an illegal producer, recently.
The psychotropic substances with various brand names such as Umutuzo, Impamba and Isangano, were disposed of on Wednesday, October 25, at Nduba landfill in Gasabo District.
The illicit drinks packed in 3,550 boxes valued at Frw42.6 million, were seized recently during Police operations conducted in Kimironko, Kinyinya and Ndera in Gasabo District.Read more
