Minister Gasana urges Police officers to aim for quality services

The Minister of Interior, Alfred Gasana has said that despite the challenges that Rwanda National Police (RNP) still faces in its policing duties, they should not affect the quality of services expected of every Police officer.

DIGP Namuhoranye tasks private security companies on alertness

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Operations, Felix Namuhoranye, challenged private security service providers to enhance their alertness to ensure reliable security at premises under their protection.

DIGP Namuhoranye made the call on Wednesday, December 21, while addressing over 100 heads of private security companies as well as those charged with security at different key premises, in a meeting held at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters at Kacyiru.  Read more...

PEACEKEEPING: Police officers complete course on protection of civilians


Thirty Police officers, on Thursday, December 22, completed a two-week peacekeeping course on 'Protection of Civilian (PoC).'

Delegation from Malawi Police Service visit RNP


A delegation from Malawi Police Service (MPS) led by Deputy Commisioner of Police (DCP) Jacqueline Kainja, on Monday, December 19, visited Rwanda National Police (RNP) as part of their benchmarking mission in the country.

GERAYO AMAHORO: Over 600 cyclists in Gasabo sensitized on road safety


As part of the ongoing Gerayo Amahoro road safety campaign, on Friday, December 23, Police sensitized more than 600 commercial cyclists operating in Kimironko and Bumbogo sectors on how safe to use the road to prevent road carnage.

Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Sylvestre Twajamahoro, the Police spokesperson for the City of Kigali, told the cyclists to change their reckless behaviors and attitude on road, which is one of the major causes of road accidents.  Read more...
