NYAMASHEKE: Three arrested over assault, theft

Police in Nyamasheke District arrested three men on Wednesday, August 30, for allegedly assaulting a local resident and stealing Frw300,000 in process.

The trio was taken into custody at about 8p.m, in Boli village, Miko cell of Karengera sector, shortly after a violent theft when they attacked and injured a 60-year old man before stealing Frw300,000, a cellphone and other electronics from him.Read more

RUBAVU: Suspected drug dealer arrested with over 2400 pellets of cannabis

Rwanda National Police (RNP) in partnership with local residents in Rubavu District seized 2490 pellets of cannabis from a 23-year-old suspected trafficker and distributor.

The suspect was arrested at around 2p.m, on Tuesday, August 30, in Gasizi Village, Hehu Cell in Bugeshi Sector.Read more
