IGP Munyuza in Lesotho for bilateral meeting

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza was in Lesotho at the invitation of his counterpart, Commissioner Holomo Molibeli and the two Police Chiefs held a bilateral meeting on Wednesday, January 26.

IGP Munyuza was accompanied by Rwanda's High Commissioner to South Africa, Amb. Eugene Kayihura, who is also accredited to the Kingdom of Lesotho.  Read more...

Over 4,500 RNP officers promoted


His Excellency Paul Kagame, the President of the Republic of Rwanda, promoted 4,592 Rwanda National Police Officers to different ranks.

The promotions that were announced on Thursday, January 27, include four officers, who were elevated from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).  Read more...
 
IGP Munyuza attends Police graduation ceremony in Lesotho


The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Munyuza, who was is in Lesotho for the four-day bilateral visit, on Friday, January 28, attended the graduation of 294 officers, who completed the Police Basic Course at Lesotho Police Training School in the capital Maseru.

At the pass-out, IGP Munyuza was accompanied by Rwanda's High Commissioner to South Africa, Amb. Eugene S. Kayihura, who is also accredited to the Kingdom of Lesotho.  Read more...

Over 200 Police officers donate blood


At least 225 Police officers operating in City of Kigali, Ruhango and Huye districts donated blood to support the national blood bank.

Police arrest two with forged Covid-19 test results


The Rwanda National Police (RNP) Testing and Licensing (TL) department arrested on Tuesday, January 25, two people, who were attempting to do driving tests with falsified Covid-19 test results.

Alphonse Niyongoma, 44, and Dieudonne Muhoza, 38, were arrested Kigali stadium in Nyarugenge District where they had gone for provisional driving test. Read more...

RNP recovers another stolen motorcycle


Rwanda National Police (RNP), on Saturday, January 21, recovered a stolen motorcycle in Kabukuba, Juru Sector in Bugesera District.

The motorcycle, which was stolen recently from one Janvier Maniragaba, 37, was recovered from a suspected thief identified as Ildephonse Hitayezu, 43, who was also arrested.  Read more...
