Gisagara: Two suspected drug dealers arrested

Rwanda National Police (RNP) arrested two men in Nyanza Sector, Gisagara District in connection with trafficking and distributing narcotic drugs.

HUYE: Taxi-moto operators urged on compliance

Taxi- moto operators in Huye District were urged to always comply with the law, rules and regulations as well as directives to enhance their overall safety.

EASTERN PROVINCE: Over 300 arrested in bars drinking

At least 302 people were arrested in five different districts of the Eastern Province on Thursday, March 25, in Rwanda National Police (RNP) operations targeting bars, which operate contrary to the national directives.

Bars are among services that are still closed as part of the national efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.

The violators include 46 owners and managers of bars. Other 256 are clients, who were at the time found drinking.  Read more...

NYAGATARE: Three arrested over theft of solar batteries

Police in Nyagatare District arrested three men in Mimuli Sector suspected to be behind series of house break-ins and stealing solar energy batteries from connected homes in the area.

GATSIBO: Man arrested with fake currency notes

Police in Gatsibo District, on March 21, arrested one Pierre Turabayo, 38, in connection with either counterfeiting or circulating fake money.

Turabayo was arrested in Kiziguro Sector, Rubona Cell in Kigabiro Village with two counterfeit notes of Frw5,000.  Read more...
