1.  His Excellency Paul Kagame, The President of The Republic of Rwanda, has promoted 2,282 Rwanda National Police Officers to different ranks:

a. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Commissioner of Police (CP) - 2:

b. Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) - 8:

(1) BURORA Jacques 

(2) MUZEZAYO Toussaint 

(3) MPAYIMANA Gerald 

(4) MUGWIZA Egide

(5) BAGUMA Ismail

(6) RUTIKANGA Boniface 

(7) BAYINGANA Michel

(8) BUGINGO Nelson 

c. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) - 22.

d. Superintendent of Police (SP) to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) - 39.

e. Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) to Superintendent of Police (SP) - 37.

f. Inspector of Police (IP) to Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) - 35.

g. Assistance Inspector of Police  (AIP) to Inspector of Police (IP) - 333.

h. Chief Sergeant (CSGT) to Assistance Inspector of Police  (AIP) - 01.

i. Senior Sergeant (SSGT) to Chief Sergeant (CSGT) - 9.

j. Sergeant to Senior Sergeant (SSGT) - 25.

k. Corporal (CPL) and Police Constable (PC) promoted  to Sergeant - 62.

l. Police Constable (PC) to Corporal (CPL) - 1709.

RETIREMENT:

The President also granted retirement and discharged 261 Rwanda National Police officers of different ranks.

2. The RNP leadership congratulates all those who have been promoted and appreciates the selfless service of those who have retired.
