Police senior command and staff Course 3 on study tour

Police Senior Command and Staff  course  attracted police officers from Burundi, Gambia, Namibia, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya , Ethiopia and Rwanda the host. They are conducting an internal study tour in Rwanda, aimed at augmenting the knowledge and skills imparted to them during their training in Rwanda.

 The study tour began on June 8, as part of their training in the third Police Senior Command and Staff Course (PSCSC 03) National Police College in Musanze District.

The one year course has been ongoing for the last ten months since August and involves 30 trainees.

During the first day of their weeklong study tour, they visited Isange One stop Centre at Kacyiru Police Hospital, the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB), the Ministry of East African Community (MINEAC) and the National Commission for Unity and reconciliation.

During their training, the participants have covered a number of lectures ranging from executive leadership, strategic command and strategic management to policing skills, while also covering a Masters Program in peace and conflict transformation.

 After this internal study tour, course participants will proceed with an external one to Kenya and Namibia, as part of their training to enhance their knowledge on various aspects of peace and security.
