Police reservists urged to uphold discipline

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Emmanuel K. Gasana, has called upon former Police servicemen to uphold self discipline be active in community development activities in the country's transformation.

IGP Gasana made the call on January 8 while meeting about 300 Rwanda National Police veterans at the force’s headquarters in Kacyiru.  

He reminded them that the RNP Reserve Force with clear mission and vision on which the body should be build upon.  

IGP Gasana assured them of support in their development projects, but challenged to be hard working and in a team and stay result-focused if they want to achieve more.

The meeting is in line with RNP’s strategies to improve the wellbeing of its former personnel and thus enable them to even participate to the country’s development.

Superintendent (retired), Egide Nkubiri lauded RNP initiatives and commitment to facilitate them improved their living conditions.

“This shows us that the government and RNP in particular still have us on heart. We shall live to our expectations and we shall always strive to be exemplary by working towards peace and security in our localities,” said Nkubiri.
