Fifty six police officers, on June 13, completed a two-week store management course.
The training is part of the force's ongoing strategies to equip the officers with skills and knowledge in various policing disciplines.
The officers covered areas such as effective store management, logistics maintenance, store accounting, stock packaging and marking, material handling, dangerous goods and hazardous stores.
Others include the responsibilities and functions of stores, warehousing and store operations, inventory management and control, receiving logistics and supply chain management.
The Inspector General of Police, Emmanuel K. Gasana while officially closing the course challenged the officers to utilise the acquired skills and knowledge to professionally handle equipment.
"The success of daily Police duties bases on effective equipment management," IGP Gasana said.
Corporal Isaac Mwamini Busogi, one of the trainees lauded the force’s leadership for the training saying, it enhanced their knowledge capacity in regard to effectively manage RNP equipment.
He pledged to implement and share the knowledge with other officers in his unit for the force's accountability and transparency.
