Last Saturday, Police FC played its 23rd national league match under coach Andre Cassa Mbugo.
The 1-0 win over Musanze at Kicukiro artificial turf was Police's 10th win of the league having drown 9 times and lost four.
Idesbald Nshuti's lonely goal was a crucial one in a sense that if the law enforcers want to win their first ever national league silverware, they have to win their remaining five matches.
The Saturday win increased their tally to 39 points, five behind table leaders APR and six above fourth placed, Gicumbi, who suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kiyovu.
Police FC's top scorer, Jacques Tuyisenge who has scored seven times this season and fourth lead scorer so far, need to find his scoring boots to keep the law enforcers in the loop.
Nonetheless, Mbugo's boys should be credited for keeping in the top three even when the club lost almost its starting first eleven at the start and mid season following the new rule by the national football body, FERWAFA, to use nationals.
