Police in Kabaya sector, Ngororero district on September 13, conducted a targeted operation impounding six motorcycles that possess incomplete documents needed to transport clients
The documents include invalid driving permits and insurances
The traffic and road safety spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP), Emmanuel Kabanda, cautioned drivers on breach of road rules and instructions which cause fatal accidents warned of “severe consequences” to whoever will be caught breaching traffic rules.
“Before one hits the road, he or she has to be in possession of all the required, or else, it would be putting own life and that of other road users at risk,” said CIP Kabanda, adding, “The breach of road of rules and instructions never ceases to claim lives and damage properties.”
The exhibits are held at Kabaya Police station pending further proceedings.
CIP Kabanda called-upon the general public to always report drivers who violate road related rules and instructions including those who drive without valid driving licenses, insurance and an authorization to exercise the business.
