The Rwanda National Police Handball Club is close to winning the national league cup for the third successive season following the Saturday easy win against Gicumbi.
Police Handball Club found no obstacle to beat their opponent Gicumbi 43-21 on the seventeenth day of the league.
The win took the law enforcers to a tally of 51 points to maintain their place at the summit, five points ahead of second placed, APR.
With just three matches left to the end of the season, there's much hope in the Police camp to seal the season in style, without losing a single match.
Jean Pau Muhawenayo scored the match high eight goals against Gicumbi.
Police HBC coach, Sgt Albert Sibomana, believes the spirit in the camp will prove a point of success in the remaining three games.
The three pending matches will be against University of Rwanda-College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS), University of Rwanda-College of Education (UR-CE) and APR, respectively.
"Players showcased a winning spirit against Gicumbi, like all other previous matches we have played, and it's this spirit that will guide us to triumph," Sobomana said.
He added: "We have a good leadership that supports us, enough preparation and training, ability and will of players but above all, God helps us to glory."
