The un beatable Police-Hand Ball Club on September 20, thrashed Kigoma Senior Secondary school on 30-17 points to increase the Police side’s possibility of taking the trophy.
During the encounter which took place at Byimana hand ball play ground, the law enforcing side completely dominated the game which gave them 12-4 goals in the first half.
Their determination and control of the game earned them 18 more goals in the second half of the match.
With only three games remaining on the National Hand Ball League calendar, the Police side is already leading the table with 39 points and is followed by Gicumbi which has 33 points and a game in hand.
Statistically, the defending champion- Police Hand Ball Club, needs only two wins to raise the trophy for three consecutive seasons.
Addressing members of the press shortly after the game, Assistant Inspector of Police, Antoine Ntanganyimana, the Police side senior coach, lauded his boys for the superb performance.
He noted that, the team played technically well. “It is important that we continue with this wining spirit, in order to wind off the season in the three remaining matches,” said AIP Ntabanganyimana.
During the game, Police Constables, Gilbert Mutuyimana and JB Habimana scored 6 goals each, making them the best scorer of the match.
