Police FC take on Espoir in national league

Police FC vs Espoir (Sunday)

Third place Police Football Club take on Rusizi-based Espoir this Sunday in the national league, putting into consideration that three points a crucial to keep chase on the table leaders, APR and to win their maiden league trophy.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:30pm at Kicukiro artificial turf.

With 21 points in 12 matches so far, the law enforcers’ win takes them to level points with second placed AS Kigali which has 24 points but with also a three-goal advantage.

AS Kigali face a tough test this Saturday when they host SC Kiyovu at Stade de Kigali.

Police FC has won five matches, drew six and lost one. In the last five games, Andre Cassa Mbugo’s side has won three and drew two but the three wins have also been narrow escapes with 1-0.

Mbugo therefore understands that 1-0 win is not enough since also goals count and his talisman striker, Jacques Tuyisenge, who has so far netted thrice, and decisive winger Innocent Habyarimana will also need to wear scoring boots to give their coach a smile.
