Police FC start league season with win

Gicumbi 0-1 Police FC

The Rwanda National Police Football Club grabbed maximum points in their opening match of the 2014/2015 Turbo King National Football League, which kicked off on October 18.

Right winger, Emmanuel Sebanani scored the decisive and deserved goal in the 18th minute of the first half to ensure a 1-0 win against Gicumbi in an away match played on October 19 in the Northern.

The law enforcers, who started the season under new coach Andre Cassa Mbungo, squandered several other chances that would have seen more goals.

The win takes them at level with the likes of Rayon Sport and Espoir which won by one goal each against Amagaju and Mukura respectively on Saturday.

Police started the league with four new signings to bolster the squad. The new faces in the police jersey are defender Muhamed Mpozembizi from Musanze FC, striker Idisbaridi Nshuti from Mukura and midfielders Rashid Karisa and Vincent Habamahoro from Sec Academy and Gicumbi FC respectively.
