Police Football Club talisman Nshuti Disbardi scored a second half goal to earn his club a deserved 1-0 victory over Isonga FC in the 2014/2015 National Football League.
The win takes Police FC to 14 points in three wins and five draws and keep pressure on the clubs at the top of the league table.
Although the game seem3d to be poised towards a draw, the law enforcers kept pressure on Isonga defence, which paid off in the sixtieth minute when second half substitute striker Nshuti sent a fine shot past Isonga's goalkeeper.
Head coach Andre Cassa Mbungo was satisfied with the result, saying that he is confident that his side is slowly gaining the required momentum and chemistry required to compete for the league trophy.
"The determination and team work was very key to earn us victory over Isonga and this helps in building confidence of the players,” he said.
“After adapting ourselves to new league rules that require featuring Rwandan players, the team is slowly building for future competitions and I am very sure that we make great strides everyday."
The law enforcers have so far beaten Gicumbi 1-0 in their season opening match before trouncing Kiyovu 5-0 in a one-sided match played on the second day and yesterday’s win over Isonga FC.
