Police Football Club played a 1-1 draw with APR in the first leg of the Peace Cup semi finals played on Sunday at Kicukiro artificial turf.
The law enforcers, who played without their injured captain and lead striker, Jacques Tuyisenge, took the lead twelve minutes after break through Idesbard Nshuti.
Nshuti chipped in a Mwemere Ngirinshutu cross, leaving APR keeper and defenders wandering.
APR, who were denied several chances by Police goalkeeper in both sides, got their equalizer through Migi, who tapped in a cross from Emery Bayisenge with about ten minutes to the end of the match.
It is the fifth time the two teams have drawn this season.
The return leg with be played next Wednesday and the winner will face a winner between Rayon Sports and Isonga, in the finals.
Police coach, Andre Cassa Mbugo praised the resilience of his team, despite missing a number of players through injuries.
"It was a good and entertaining match. We managed to secure a draw although it would have been better if we had won," Mbugo told Journalists.
"When you are a manager, you have to trust in your team and I have hope that the lord will guide me through in the last match because some of my players like Tuyisenge will be back," he added.
