Police FC cruise past Rwamagana City

One goal was enough to give three points to Police FC in a tense match against Rwamagana City FC.

Police now seats firmly on top of the Azam National Premier League after four games, with three wins and a draw.

The match away to Rwamagana on October 3 ended 0-1 in favor of Police after a fine strike from Isai Songa in the 25th minute of the first half period.

Police FC Captain, Tuyisenege Jacque, said that the game was tense and was made difficult by a hard surface, although the team tried to play attractive football.

“Rwamagana was playing at home and they were playing well, but our team has once again shown that it plays as a unit and is strong enough to overcome challenges. I am happy that we are now on top of the table. The league is a long journey and we shall play every game with a lot of focus,” he said.

The Police FC Head coach,  Andre Cassa Mbungo, noted that his players are eager to win games and they are playing a unit of purpose, which gave them an edge when playing against other teams.

Police FC already boasts two trophies this season: Agaciro Development Fund and the Peace Cup.
