[PICTORIAL] Police Week 2017 Launch in Kirehe

On Tuesday, Rwanda National Police officially launched its Police Week activities to mark its 17th anniversary.

In Kirehe District, one of the two sites where the official launch was held, Police handed over solar home systems to 155 households in Nyamikori Village of Kigarama Sector, constructed four clean water sources, improved sanitation and rehabilitated a road.

The event was presided over by the Minister of Local Government Francis Kaboneka, and attended by IGP Emmanuel K. Gasana, Governor of the Eastern Province Judith Kazayire, senior officers in RNP and RDF, mayors and thousands of residents.

Local artistes and Imitavu, a group of youngsters, graced the event.

At 97 years, Bonifance Kimonyo of Kigarama in Giti Sector was full of praises for having solar for the first time in his life.
