Antoine Dominique Ndayishimiye scored a hat trick in the first half as Police beat AS Kigali 3-0 to go top of Rwanda Premier League table.
The striker opened the score in the 13th minute after he utilized Eric Ngendahimana's cross to nod in past AS Kigali goalie. It was Police's second attempt but first on target on Day Seven of the league played at Kigali stadium.
AS Kigali's defensive error and poor communication with their goalkeeper gave Ndayishimiye another golden opportunity to double the score in the 26th minute before completing his first hat trick in the 33rd minute.
The hosts, who have managed only one win and currently lying 11th on the log, came close to getting their consolation in the 40th minute of the match but were denied by Police goalkeeper, who tipped the ball over the bar.
"We played well and deserved the win," Police head coach Francis Haringingo, said.
He hailed Ndayishimiye's focus and performance.
The law enforcers remain unbeaten this season with four wins and three draws and sitting at the summit of the 16-team table with 15 points.
